She Has Yet T6 Suffer Defeat, Says Chine se Paper Jo Endorsing the assertion of the former American Ambassador in Tokio, Mr. Joseph Grew, that Japan has yet to suffer a major defeat in the field, the Chungking paper Ta Kung Pao today warns the Chinese people to be ready for a new blow.

Although Japan is hard-up, the paper says, she is still struggling to prepare a new offensive during the coming spring, which the Chinese people should be ready to meet. The Japanese military are intensifying: home production and working towards the large-scale exploitation of the occupied regions in the South.

Germany Still Strong Too

In the same editorial, which is called "Spring and War," the Ta Kung Pao issues a warning about the other end of the Axis in commenting on recent German defeats in Russia and Africa. "We should remember that even towards the end of the last world war Germany launched a sys- tomatic large-scale offensive," the paper recalls. "While our victory is progressing like a brook to the river and the river to the sea, "the strength we need and the difficulties we meet will be even greater.
